Yesterday the Government updated the COVID-19 alert level in New Zealand to Alert Level 4 due to a confirmed community case and an increased risk of wider outbreak. This update will affect the Auckland and Coromandel Peninsula regions for 7 days, with the rest of New Zealand in Alert Level 4 for 3 days.
As with the last Level 4 lockdown, all people have been instructed to stay at home and all businesses must close, except for essential services such as supermarkets, pharmacies, clinics and lifeline utilities.
As this is a Government mandated lockdown, we are writing to advise you that effective immediately, our stores will be closed until further notice. We understand that this may be disappointing for our customers and local community however we must do our part to decrease the risk for all Kiwis.
MATERIALS SUPPLY FOR ESSENTIAL SERVICES:
If you carry out building work for essential service provisions, classed by the government as ‘building and construction related to essential services, critical infrastructure, or immediately needed to maintain human health and safety at home/work’, we will continue to assist where we can with material supply. Please contact your local store ahead to request assistance.
In the interim, we will once again put in place plans that will enable us to respond quickly and to ensure continuity of supply once Alert Level 4 has been lifted.
As a valued ITM customer we will endeavour to keep you up to date on the ever-evolving situation and its effect on how we can serve your business needs. If you have any further questions or queries on how this may affect your business, please contact your local ITM.
