The following message has been prepared by the ITM Support Office to provide a public update to all ITM Customers.
We’re doing our part to halt the spread of COVID-19. On Wednesday 25th March we closed all ITM stores until further notice.
While some of our competitors were identified as suppliers to essential services customers and could open accordingly to trade customers only, we do not agree with this position and believe there is a potential risk of being caught supplying general business customers contrary to the intent of the Government restrictions. Our number one priority is our families, our people, and our communities.
While we may all be frustrated at the fact that these competitors are opening (even in a limited and restricted fashion), this is not the time for us to be playing competitive one-upmanship. Our livelihood depends on the communities we operate in. Opening our stores through this period could help transmit the virus and bring much greater devastation than the loss of revenue for a limited period.
Need Essential Services Material Supplies? The ITM official position is that all our stores remain closed until further notice. If you work in building and construction related to essential services or critical infrastructure as defined by the government, or you require building supplies to maintain human health and safety at home or work, we can continue to assist, but please note some products may be in limited supply. Please call your ITM Rep to discuss your requirements as each store will have different inventories and capabilities to service essential work requests.
