The ITM 500 Auckland V8 Supercars, New Zealand’s largest annual sporting event, are bringing their Road Show to Nelson this month.
Leading Kiwi drivers Fabian Coulthard and Scott McLaughlin will be at the ITM Road Show on Monday 25 November at the Nelson ITM store.
Nearly 120,000 fans attended the three-day event at the revamped Pukekohe Park Raceway this year and now V8 Supercars are keen to take their message to fans in the Tasman district.
“New Zealand is very important to V8 Supercars on many levels and we were very pleased with the support of fans when we took the race back to Pukekohe this year,” said V8 Supercars CEO, James Warburton.
“We are keen to build on this support looking ahead to the ANZAC Weekend racing in 2014. V8 Supercars is a fantastic product and the drivers are excellent athletes and great people. We want to share that with motor race supporters and sports fans around the South Island.”
Both Coulthard and rookie McLaughlin are enjoying strong seasons, currently fifth and 10th respectively in the in the V8 Supercars Championship. Both have links to the South lsland with McLaughlin born and raised in Christchurch and Coulthard driving for Brad Jones Racing, the team of the late Jason Richards from Nelson.
Join Coulthard and McLaughlin at the ITM Nelson store from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Monday 25 November to meet the drivers, grab an autograph, enjoy the ITM Barbeque and other displays and activities.
Those who attend will receive a special voucher for a two for one ticket discount to the ITM 500 Auckland V8 Supercars. This unique offering is only for those who attend the Road Show.
The Road Shows also take in Christchurch, Cromwell and Invercargill.
